COVID-19 Response: April Update

Dear friends,

This is Kekoa! It's been a while since we all got to physically meet each other. I know personally that I miss shaking hands around campus, hugging my friends when I see them on Thursdays, or just being in a space for small groups, large group, and after events. It's a very saddening time of social distancing. But, I have hopes that moving forward, we will continue to stay connected with our community. I want to recognize what we're doing at BeachIV to keep Jesus moving amidst the pandemic currently affecting the world.

1. We've been gathering on Thursdays via Zoom! Yes, we still meet up for virtual large group on Thursdays at 5:30pm. You can join us for an evening of worship, message from our speaker, and space to hangout afterward! http://beachiv.com/zoom
2. We just wrapped up our virtual spring break on Friday, April 3rd! Yes, in replacement of spring conference, we held a virtual spring break of activities on Zoom! It was Monday-Friday from 10:30am to 9:00pm each day with four events happening every day! Thank you to everyone who helped and also showed up! It was tons of fun!
3. We are still gathering for small groups! Don't lose connection to your WC, your leader is still holding small group at the same time, connect with them using their phone number button on the WC page! It's virtual small groups so we are maintaining a social distance, but maintaining the closeness in fellowship and community!
4. InterVarsity/USA, the national organization holds large group that we attend online! If you didn't know, you're a part of something big! InterVarsity is a national movement of campuses all across the country! The national organization is hosting weekly large groups happening at 5PM on Fridays to unite all chapters together. We saw 10,000 students, staff, and alumni gather for a live stream event online these past 2 weeks! Keep yourself aware for the next large group in a couple weeks!

We are going to continue to gauge our next steps as we approach the end of the semester only a month away, we want to share with you that our community and leaders are still going! We want to virtualize everything we had plan such as spring banquet, senior banquet, IHOP, and the summer long summer community. We are sending out our prayers to you, your family, and those affected from this pandemic. We will get through this together as a community and as followers of Jesus. Take care for now!
