Dear BeachIV community, Large Group will be on Zoom Thursday, March 12 at 5:30PM In recent news in regards to COVID-19 and the current state of CSULB campus, we have decided move to alternative methods for large group on Zoom.com starting today. This is in response to our neighboring IV chapters and the university's motion to minimize illnesses by virtualizing classroom gatherings. There will be no face-to-face large group today - Thursday, March 12th. We are aware of the concerns that have arise and take extra precaution for the safety of our students, their family and friends who are at higher risk of contracting COVID-19.
Instead, our chapter has decided to take alternative routes that are already in use by the university such as meetings on Zoom. We will be creating space tonight to hold a prayer meeting in replacement of our large group. Thank you for supporting us in this transition to accommodate. We will return to our regular large group once the university begins traditional curriculum in April. Our website and webpages including large group/small group info will remain up to date with the latest info for gatherings. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your small group leader who can direct it to us to answer. We will continue to post any questions or concerns to this website. Sending our blessings and prayers, BeachIV Hello friends!
All of us as a campus have received emails recently from the university in regards to COVID-19. Please keep posted as we figure out the next steps for our chapter as the university transitions into a period of online curriculum. Most importantly, the leadership team and staff want to address that your concerns for both your health and those within your family and friends network should never be jeopardized even in ministry. We will continue to relay information as news on COVID-19 continues and will work diligently to get the decision for each area of our campus gatherings soon! As of now, we will NOT be gathering for large group on Thursday, March 12th. We are aware of the concerns of both students and campus that arise concerning COVID-19 and will be discussing our next steps for our community in the coming days for the weeks to follow. If you are not well, do the best you can by reducing its spread regardless the illness - Stay at home and rest. If you are also a part of the high-risk community, we also encourage you to limit your involvement and practice "social distancing" to reduce the likelihood of illnesses - Instead we encourage you to reach out to friends through phone calls, FaceTime, video games, or any activity that wouldn't transmit illnesses. We will continue to relay information to align with campus protocols in the weeks to come and to answer questions regarding Spring Conference, WCs, our events around campus including large group. We will get through this IV family! If you have any questions, please contact your small group leader or use our contact form to direct it to us! Thank you! More information on COVID-19 and CSU Long Beach campus response can be found on the university's website at: https://www.csulb.edu/covid-19 Sending our prayers, BeachIV |
